I think Coastal Scents is a good alternative to the most expensive brand brushes. Personally, I find it hard to spend $ 50 on a kabuki if I get slightly inferior or even equivalent quality from other stores for a tenth of the price. I have to say, however, that I have not found a brush that is nearly comparable to my 217 MAC brush so far, and that I do not regret the € 20.
