Chanel - Ombres Perlées de Chanel Eyeshadow Palette
Take a deep breath ... Today I'd like to introduce you to the Ombres Perlées de Chanel palette that exists in the current spring collection. It will cost you $ 55 if you find it anywhere.
The palette contains 5 eyeshadows with pearl finish (very shiny ) à 1 g. Thus we come to the first minus point. 1 g is really not that much money.
The packaging is chaneltypisch very noble, but you can quickly see the fingerprints. I can live with that, but some of that bothers me a lot.
The 5 eyeshadows are really beautiful in the pansy. From left to right:
- white highlighter
- apricot
- black base with purple pearl
- black base with green pearl
- Metal Gray
Now for the swatches, apply to Pixie Epoxy with a sponge applicator:
So However, the colors on the eye will never look. The colors are extremely sheer and can only be applied with sponge applicators or fingers.
I applied them in the following AMU over my absolutely reliable Urban Decay - Primer Potion and that was the result after a few hours (5- 6):
See how friable/spotty the dark tone looks over the eyelid crease? I could not blind it with the best will.
And now comes the biggest negative point for me: The eyeshadow crease! Even my Catricelidschatten keep on the UDPP half the day and the 55 € Chanellidschatten evaporate after a few hours!
I've read on forums about a bunch of people that they do not have eyeshadow problems with MAC's Paint Pots as their base.
BUT:
I'm not paying 55 € for an eyeshadow quintet, for which I need another primer! I expect the Eyeshadow to work for me and I do not have to work against it.
Pro:
- beautiful finish
- beautiful colors
- noble packaging
Con:
- price/volume ratio
- can not blend (blotchy)
- with brushes very sheer
- crease after a few hours
Many of you will now say for sure that the palette works great for you. This review just reflects my opinion. I just expect good quality from the price, not hard work.
