The Makeup starter set 2.0

After one of my first posts, "The Makeup Starter Set - 10 Products for $ 100", is still popular today, I wanted to update and update my recommendations. I still like some things that I mentioned back then, but a few new ones have been added as well. I have tried to show you mostly products that can be found in any drugstore/perfumery. Let's start!

• Eyeshadow

The 88er Palette is still a fine thing if you want to have many colorful eyeshadows for little money. Zoeva now has a variety of eyeshadow palettes, even in more subtle colors. But if you want to do without online orders (and shipping costs) I recommend the Artdeco eyeshadow!

• Brush

It's very difficult to find real pearls here in the drugstore area. Therefore, I would recommend that you initially apply eye shadow with your fingers. If you have found favor with make-up, I advise you to invest in high-quality brush. Over 20 € for a cosmetic brush is really a lot, but you will use it daily and he will accompany you for years! To start with, a good, flat "brush" like the MAC 239 (pictured) is enough.

• Mascara

There are so many mascaras in the drugstore area, there is really something for everyone something with it. My personal favorite is the Max Factor - False Lash Effect Mascara. It usually costs around 12-14 €, but Rossmann often gives you 25% off Max Factor, then you get them for just under 10 €!

• Concealer

I was particularly impressed by the Alverde camouflage concealer. It is very similar to the Bobbi Brown - Creamy Concealer, but only costs € 3.49. The Alverde Concealer can be very well incorporated under the eyes, but must be fixed with powder, otherwise it creast.

• lip gloss

Lipgloss often cleaves ghosts. Some want sticky and long-lasting gloss, others it is very important that a gloss not cardboard. A lipglossreihe from the drugstore I noticed the price/performance ratio but very positive, namely the Essence - Stay With Me gloss. They cost under 2 €, have a medium opacity and a nice color selection. However, one should be odor-resistant, as they have a strong fragrance.

• Rouge

A blush, which is probably the most, is the Alverde - pastel rosé powder rouge. The job is very simple and succeeds even a beginner. Especially matte powder blushes are very well suited for the beginning, but also pay attention that the opacity is more in the light to medium range.

• Eyeliner

Here are some call good drugstore specimens. Above all, I can recommend the P2 - Perfect Look Eyeliner. They cost only € 1.75, they are all standard colors represented, the opacity is very high and they last throughout the day. The Misslyn Kajale do not last the whole day, but the color choices are bigger.For me she is still a drugstore favorite who can compete with the Urban Decay - Primer Potion. In addition, the Artdeco Primer is also available in special fund-raising campaigns.

• Foundation

I started with powder foundation back then, as the liquid foundations in the drugstore were always too dark for me. Meanwhile, there are finally bright Foundations, but who wants to start first discreet and "foolproof", I recommend a light powder foundation. Pictured you can see my MAC Studio Fix powder. For dry skin, I recommend a tinted day cream, such as the MAC Studio Moisture Tint.

• Eyebrows

If you want to bite without much effort, I'll put the Alverde eyebrow gel to the heart. It's transparent, so nothing can go wrong here.

In the drugstore or even Rossmann you can find Alverde, P2, Essence and Max Factor.
Artdeco is available in the Müller, or online at Douglas. MAC can be found at special MAC counters or for example at MAC Cosmetics, Douglas or Breuninger.
